Oil drilling
Description/Introduction
In the oil drilling industry, BioXan welan gum can be used to prepare drilling mud to maintain the viscosity of water-based drilling fluid and control its rheological properties. As a new type of oil-displacing agent, it is used for tertiary oil recovery in oil wells. BioXan welan gum injects an aqueous solution of suitable concentration into the well to press into the oil layer to drive oil, which can greatly improve the oil recovery rate. In addition, can also be used as a flow improver for well completion, workover, formation fracturing, and heavy oil transportation. Add 0.25%-0.33% of the mud system.
Function
• Strong resistance to acid, alkali, temperature within the range pH2 ~ 13 rounds of viscosity change smaller, almost not affected by pH. The viscosity of xanthan gum is stable in the range of PH4-10.
• Higher temperature tolerance, temperature in neutral water temperature (low salt concentration) drilling system capable of high temperature 130-140 ℃, and the highest resistance for xanthan gum is 120-130 ℃, temperature wheel rubber this feature prominently in the process of oil drilling applications.
• Pseudoplasticity make it has excellent shear dilution characteristics.
• Compared to xanthan gum, welan gum has better resistance to salt, is suitable for the salt content at less than 15% 10% monovalent ions and bivalent ions.
• Excellent water retention, Adsorbed long chain polymer molecules adhere to the periphery of water molecules, so adsorbed and solidified part of the mixing water and expanded, reducing the proportion of free water in the system; Hydration, or binding, of molecules in adjacent polymer chains creates an attraction that limits the movement of free water molecules, further thickening the water into a gel and increasing its viscosity; At low shear rates, especially at high concentrations, the polymer chains are able to intertwine and curl, and the free water molecules are firmly locked.
